NAPOLEÓN I y NAPOLEÓN II

Al ser el camaleón una especie protegida en Cádiz, los camaleones que aparecen en el film son de otra especie muy similar pero originarios del Yemen, comprados y documentados debidamente en tiendas homologadas de Cádiz. Fueron cuidados y alimentados con gran dignidad por el propio protagonista principal del film, el gitano salinero Manolín Gómez García, en amplios jaularios del jardín de su casa en el barrio de Santiago de Jerez, muy cercano al zoo de la ciudad, con lo que los camaleones podían oir los rugidos de los leones africanos del zoológico, cada atardecer.

Estos preciosos, simpáticos y arcaicos animalitos, tan popularmente queridos y respetados en Cádiz, conjugan perfectamente el sin-tiempo pretendido en el seno del film, y dado sus orígenes africanos también aportan una dimensión internacional al argumento libertario y transnacional de los personajes de la película, especialmente en el caso de la silenciosa Elena y del audaz Marc Sango.

Por otra parte, bien conocido es el verdadero pánico que sienten los zíngaros por las bichas, lagartos y reptiles en general, lo cual repercutirá y mucho en los entrenamientos al combate y pruebas de valor del gitano Manolín alías Sargento García.
