MARI CARMEN GARCÍA GONZÁLEZ

Costurera de disfraces carnavaleros, Mari Carmen, la esposa de Manolín alias “Sargento García", es el único miembro de la familia que aporta un sustento económico alimenticio para su familia y sus vecinos. Cose y cose, infatigablemente en casa, ayudada por su vecina Cuqui, una señora mayor, y muy lírica por cierto, que durante la faena canta un delicioso repertorio gaditano.

Mari Carmen acepta inicialmente que la felicidad de su marido está necesitada de esa lucha épica que Manolín plantea contra el enemigo invisible, dejándose incluso llevar por los efluvios eróticos y aguerrido encanto del personaje del Sargento García, su alter ego conyugal.

Pero todo tiene un límite, y dados los excesos y peligrosos pistoletazos de la creciente guerrilla, decide intervenir, recurriendo y haciéndose asesorar por un antiguo amor de juventud, el Dr. Almocadén, con peculiarísima clínica psiquiátrica y asociada bodega terapéutica, jerezana con solera y de renombre internacional.
